M.River & T.Whid Art Associates' 99 Steps to Contemporary Art in Your Bedroom (Even in This Room, Insulated From the Laws of The External City, One May Find Oneself Lost in a Crowd...)

Below are 99 Steps to create a contemporary artwork. The ideal site or space needed to begin the 99 Steps is your bedroom. If your bedroom is unavailable, another person's room may be used. If no bedroom is available, another internal space may be substituted. The duration between Steps is not important, but the Steps should be executed in numerical order. If the room you begin with is no longer available, you may continue the Steps in another room (please note the change of space on the 99 Steps Chart below.) If you do not have any of the material for a Step, feel free to substitute materials. Other people may do Steps for your project but please write down their names so that they may be given credit on the Certificate of Authenticity. At the end of the 99 Steps, please mail a copy of your project documentation to MTAA care of 9/9, 49 rue Berthe, 75018 Paris, France. Please include your return address and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate will state that your 99 Steps are a work of late 20th century/early 21st century collaborative art involving the French magazine 9/9, the American collaborative art group M. River & T. Whid Art Associates, and yourself.
